Father Stan Fortuna Concert

Father Stan Fortuna Concert is coming..who's going??Me..!!The concert will be held on the 30-31st of August at Ballroom,Imperial Hotel..Miri,Sarawak...The tickets are sold at any church in Miri i think..it cost rm40..not really expensive la..I want to invite all of you..my dear brothers and sisters to go to the concert..cause it's a great opportunity and can learn how to worship God.

Anyway..ever heard of him before..?I never heard of him before until now..hehe..so i go to his website and learn more about him..guess what did i get?He is a Roman Catholic priest known for his evangelical musical contributions of various genres, primarily Catholic-based jazz and hip hop.So cool!!Never thought rap can be use in christian songs.

The interest in music began when he was in second grade when he received a red electric guitar for Christmas.He spent his years playing improvisational sessions in and around New York City. Father Stan studied, at one point, with the legendary jazz musician, Lennie Tristano, and was an accomplished, professional bass player before becoming a priest.

He is one of the eight original members of the Community of Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, a Franciscan order established by John Cardinal O'Connor in 1987. Father Stan was ordained as a priest in the Bronx in the year 1990.

Either than that,Reverend Fortuna liitves in the South Bronx where he serves the poor and needy families, he is internationally known for his music as well as for his powerful preaching. He travels extensively, performing his music and proclaiming the Gospel at conferences, retreats, and both national and international youth prayer festivals. He has been a featured speaker at Franciscan University’s High School Age Youth Conferences and Youth 2000 events for several years. He has also appeared numerous times on EWTN's Life on the Rock.

Reverand Fortuna was asked to preach and perform at the youth rally in St. Louis during Pope John Paul's visit. He is now serving full time in the preaching apostolate using his gift of music, a powerful means to reach deep into the heart and soul of both the young and old throughout the world.

This holidays is make me so freakingly driving me to boredom..actually got so many plans to do in this holidays but everything going apart..I already plan my time..but haiz...what to do we plans something..God make the decisions..This holidays,I can't even go out with my friends..because my mum wouldn't send me here and there...cuz she had to work..what to do..even when i tell her that i've got choir practice at school..also we have to sign an agreement then she send me..

So you see..my plans all cancelled..except for Choir practice and making pizza..haiz..anyone save me!!...i just got 2 messages from my friends..(hey..wana go c movies tomorrow noon?)..wth...sorry guys,choir practice tomorrow...so sorry you guys..hope you'll understand..Can this holidays get any worse?This is not the holidays i've been dreamed..ergh..Wana noe what Steve do at home today??

Harry Potter actor stabbed to death

A teenage actor who is to appear in the new Harry Potter film was stabbed to death in the early hours of yesterday during a fight at a bar.

Robert Knox, 18, was murdered outside the Metro bar in Sidcup, southeast London, as he tried to protect his brother Jamie, 17, from a knifeman.

The attack, which left three other people with serious stab wounds, took place just a few miles from where Jimmy Mizen, a 16-year-old altar boy, was murdered two weeks ago while trying to shield his older brother.

Yesterday it emerged that Knox and Jimmy had played for the same rugby club in Sidcup.

Last night, Robert’s parents, Sally, a buyer for Marks & Spencer, and Colin, who is thought to work in advertising, paid tribute to their son in a statement.

“Rob was kind and thoughtful and would always help out others; he would always spend his last penny on other people instead of himself,” they said.

The life and soul of the party, he was very outgoing, loved sports and would always strike up a conversation with people. He was respectful to others and adored by his family and friends.”

Knox, who overcame bullying as a child to break into acting, had just finished filming a small part for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which is due at cinemas in November. He plays a Ravenclaw student called Marcus Belby.

Knox was a former pupil at Beths grammar school in Bexley, whose alumni include Steve Backley, the former Olympic javelin thrower. He is the 14th teenager to be violently killed in London since the start of the year.

Police said the killing was not gang-related and yesterday, as friends laid flowers at the murder scene, close to Sidcup railway station, Lee Bentley, manager of the Metro bar, said the attack appeared to have been triggered by a row over the alleged theft of a mobile phone.

“Nine days ago, a guy came to the bar and caused trouble,” said Bentley. “He accused [Knox’s friend] Dean Saunders of stealing his phone and hit him in the face. We cleaned up Dean and barred the man.”

But the man, who is black and in his twenties, returned on Friday night armed with two knives and tried entering the bar, where Knox was a regular drinker.

What happened next is unclear, but Jade Nicholson, an assistant bar manager, said: “I saw Rob go outside and shout, ‘You pulled a knife on my brother, someone call the police’.”

Tom Hopkins, 18, who was drinking at the bar, said: “Rob had been trying to stop the trouble, it wasn’t his fault.

“All I remember was seeing Rob get stabbed in the chest. I ran over and me and my mate Tarik both tackled the black man. I jumped on top of him and he said, ‘I’ve got a knife, I’ve got a knife’. As I tried to grab the knife I didn’t realise he had another one in his other hand and he cut me in the back of the head.

“I was wrestling with him in the bushes and there were a lot of other people who were helping me out. It felt like it went on for six or seven minutes until the police arrived and then I walked around the corner from the bar. That’s when I saw Rob — it’s too horrible to describe what I saw. It was just red blood.”

Police said they were called to “a large disturbance” at the bar on Station Road at 12.07am, but Knox’s life was already seeping away. A friend, who asked not be named, said: “I had him in my arms. He said, ‘I just want some help’ and I laid him on the floor. When the paramedics came, they put pads on his chest to try to revive him, but it was obvious it was too late.”

Knox was taken to Queen Elizabeth hospital in Woolwich, southeast London, where he was pronounced dead just before 1am. A post-mortem is due to be carried out today.

Three other people were seriously injured in the attack, including Saunders, 21, who was stabbed in the neck and remains in hospital. Police said his injuries were serious but not life-threatening. Two other friends, aged 16 and 19, also received treatment.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

I am so hooked onto this guy's voice.

David Archuleta was born on December 28,1990..He was so young!Just so you know,he was the first-runner up on the seventh season of American Idol.He should have won the competition i think cause he did better than David Cook..but i don't mind if David Cook wins it..cause david Archuleta have show and give his very best in the finale.He is a multi-talented person..he can play piano and guitars and sing really well too..I love his voice..His voice make me feel calm.I am going to buy his album!!Here are some videos on David Archuleta's journey in American Idol:

Today i wake up early in the morning to prepare to go to church.On last Thursday, i got an sms from joy,the youth mass ministry leader say i am the reader for this Sunday mass.I say what!!!I don't even volunteer to become a reader,i just volunteer to become the church choir..then how could i be reader?But,it's ok anyway.Maybe it's God's will.One thing i hate when become a reader is have to wear formally..so that's what i do today and i look like so smart and nerd-like.Then wear a tie and shirt tuck in.I look like so matured and so old..=.="...not same with school uniform la..Every time i go church,i would wear only t-shirt and jeans only..not so formal..haiz..so not like me..

Yeah..finally tomorrow i can go to class and study lo..cuz last week keep practicing for the dance competition..speaking of the dance competition,that is my 1st time to wear Malay costume..I am 'diislamkan' yesterday..haha..but kind of sad la..cuz we don't managed to get any place or achievement..we don't do well yesterday..forget some of the steps..haiz...sorry teachers..disappointed you guys and the Mrs.Robinette is there to watch it too..so soi one..we didn't do our best..sorry to the school too..there are 15 school compete yesterday..wow..that's many..i don't even know that bahagian Miri got so many schools...i never heard of some of the schools before..Anyway Congratulation to all the winners!hope you guys do your best in state level..!

Our dance team still go home with happiness,maybe cuz we're happy for them la..hey..it's our 1st time..we're still newbies'..hope next year CH dance team is better than us and can be in the top 3 next year..jiayou CH!

Labour Day!!

New month is here,new journey awaits me..
Today is the 1st of May..Happy Labour Day to all the working people in Malaysia..anyway having a break from the busy school life is cool but today in the morning..still need to get up early to go to school..wtd..it's my choice and got activities at school,so just go la..but there still many homework on my desk waiting for me to finish them..haiz..

Today is not just a Labour Day..it's also a special day for someone..that Cikgu Ahmad Maulana,our dance teacher..so at lunch Miss Lydia go to buy foods for lunch and the birthday cake..then,we celebrate it at the dance room..sadly there is no lighter..so we're just pretend it..i really hope that we can be in top 3 for this traditional dance for the time and hard work that Cikgu Maulana gave us..Although i didn't really know him well..to me..he teach me a lot of dance basic skills,that is facial expression,feel and must have chemistry with ur partner,be lemah lembut(not sissy la..)and many more la..Dance can actually calm a person's mind and soul..i just discover it today..

So everyone out there,try dancing if u are stress or have problems...just have fun..!!
